Visit the old city of Jerusalem, a must for any traveler. I try to return there as often as I can. This picture was taken in late December of 1997. Despite all of the turmoil in the region, I feel safer in Israel than I do anywhere in the U.S. I can offer El Al from New York as well as Tower Air at discount prices. Hotels are expensive in Israel, especially in Jerusalem. I can offer Neve Shalom Guesthouse in Latroun, 25 miles from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, at very reasonable rates. This is ideal if you are looking for something quiet and isolated, but still in driving distance of Jerusalem. I also can offer the Club Hotel Tiberias at discount rates if you are looking for something in Galilee.
